Artist's Description
Thank you for your interest in my 3D artworks. I find painting and 3D compliment each other and enable me to express and share what I see in the Natural world.
Each piece of glass has been cut and carefully considered ensuring every Sea Stack sculpture is unique. The formation of the glass sculptures are inspired by the natural erosion of the Southwest of England coastline. While Gig rowing I would often look back at the cliffs wondering how long it would be before the rock formations gave way to the sea. I have chosen glass to represent final stages of erosion because it has a fragile vulnerability just like the coastline. The glass becomes narrow and cantilevered with an expectation of toppling over any minute, mimicking our coastline against the elements of Nature.
